“I’m just sayin’…”
My life is only meaningful when it’s not just about me.
Sometimes I get in a place where all I think about is:
My goals, my work, my passions, my dreams, my hobbies, my interests, etc.
What is the common denominator there? ME. Me, me, me.
Not saying those things aren’t all good things, but they do not define me or my relevance in life. They in themselves are not going to make me happy.
When I stop thinking about only myself and focus on other people (friends, family, kids, etc.) it creates a gratefulness and satisfaction that cannot be replaced by accomplishments or personal dreams being fulfilled.
