Thanks Ed…
I couldn’t agree more.
I’m pretty darn tired of spending the majority of my time pursuing something that could be gone tomorrow. Money and things seem like they start to become some magical beautifying thing for our wretched souls… “Check out my new TV. I now can feel better about myself because I have something new and something that other people don’t have.” or “How can I survive without this stuff?” I just about want to throw up EVERY TIME I walk through a Wal Mart when I see all the straight-up JUNK that people buy and then look in my basket to find the same shit; “I really could use that thing that I didn’t know existed until I walked in the store.”
I dream of a state of being where I just live and quit trying to make everything such a big fucking deal. If I die tonight, the last thing I’m going to care about is if my furniture matches or getting that scratch repaired on my car or getting that rad-ass TV mounted so I can watch another fantasy of somebody else with more stuff than me.
